Have you ever put your trust in the Lord and spent more time with Him while in a major storm only to see it fade after you are clear of the storm? I have done that, it is probably safe to say that we all have done this at some point in our lives. Many people have contacted me and told me that they are in a major crisis and feel hopeless and they wish they now had the relationship they once had with God. When I think back about going through the toughest days of my life, those were the days that I was the closest to God. Sadly to say as I healed I remember not being as dependent on Him.
If you are in this position I want to encourage you to get back on track of trusting and depending on God again. Making a small daily habit of doing something to bring you one step closer to God will get the ball rolling so to speak. Maybe each day start by listening to a praise and worship song (music is so powerful) and reading one verse or read one page out of a daily devotional. This will help you to nurture that relationship with Him again.
The more you do these things the more God will draw you to Him and you will start desiring more time with Him. Like the saying goes: How do you eat an elephant? The answer is, one bite at a time.
